Career:
Bendorf attended Jacksonville
University in 2006-2009. As
a senior she was named first team all-conference. As a junior, she led the Dophin offense and earned second team all-conference honors with 3.38 kills per game. Also named to the A-Sun all-tournament team after averaging 4.09 kills and 2.45 digs in three matches. One of only two A-Sun players to average over three kills and digs per game during the season. Earned A-Sun All-Academic Honors her sophomore and junior year.
As a sophomore, Bendorf led the squad
with an average of 3.42 kills per game ranking her sixth in the conference. She
was also named A-Sun “Player of the Week” (9/25).
Prior to JU Bendorf played at Northwest University and was named to the Cascade Conference
all-conference team and was selected “Freshman of the Year”.
High School Career:
Sara
was a four-year starter at White River
High School and led them to the state championship match her senior year. Bendorf was named team MVP, captain her
senior year and earned first team all-league and all-area honors. Bendorf was
also Seamount League MVP and to the all-state team.
Sara is currently coaching for Synergy VBC
U15s.
