Sound Premier Volleyball Team Head Coach Paula Schwan used all 12 players on her roster Friday night to post her first win in her first match in charge of the program Friday night. Many of the players were featured in multiple positions as they worked to catch the coaches eye and take a step closer to earning a spot on the team that will travel to the Premier Volleyball League National Championship Tournament being held in May. All of the players had a hand in earning a 3-1 win over M.O.B in front of a record crowd at Fife High School.
Second year Sound Premier player Deviny Mo led all hitters with 14 kills and a .480 hitting percentage. She played both outside and right side hitter throughout the night and passed a 2.0. Newcomer Sabrina Hoeks also played both pin hitter positions and tallied 12 kills and a .400 hitting percentage. Veteran outside hitter Sara Bendorf tallied 11 kills on 23 swings to round out an impressive night for the Sound Premier hitters.

The Sound Premier team came out of the gates strong in the first set, but could not put the scrappy MOB team led by Stacey Dozono away early. The crowd was treated to some late drama, but the Sound Premier squad held on to win 25-23.
Set 2 saw MOB get one step closer to winning a set as they forced extra points but eventually lost 26-24. Sabrina Hoeks moved to the right side and was perfect on her two attempts, but the Sound Premier team killed the ball only 12 times in set two, compared to 19 kills from the first set. They did perform under pressure with the match on the line to secure the second set and head into the intermission up two sets to none.
